How to install WordPress on Windows
WordPress is an online, open-source website creation tool written in PHP. But in nontechnical speak, it's probably the easiest and most powerful blogging and website content management system (or CMS) in existence today.
What is WordPress..?
WordPress is an open-source website creation tool; in simple words, if you are not a programmer and want to create your website, you can use WordPress; it is the easiest way to manage your site because WordPress is a blogging and website content management system(CMS).
So how to install WordPress on your machine or your local computer? Today, I will show you how to install WordPress on your computer/machine.
Download WordPress
Before installing WordPress, you need a server, install a server Xampp OR Wamp on your machine.
Start your server; I am using Xampp.
Now create a new database named new_wordpress from the PHPMyAdmin section. Just go to your URL and type localhost/PHPMyAdmin.
I have installed my Xampp server in C:/ drive, so go to your Xampp/htdocs to extract your WordPress setup, which you downloaded from wordpress.org; if you want to change your folder name from WordPress to anything, you can change it, but I am not changing.
Note: If you change your folder name from WordPress to dummy OR any name, type that name after localhost/foldername
Now open your browser and type localhost/foldername in this case. I am typing localhost/WordPress; select your language, and click Continue.
Set your database connection give you database new_wordpress, username: root and password: empty OR username: root and password: "it's my default setting when you install your server.
Note: If you want your domain to install WordPress, i.e., www.xyz.com, set your database username and password.
Now click on the button Run the install.
Set your website's basic setting. I am setting dummy as username and password dummy, click on the button install WordPress.
Login with username and password
It is your dashboard; now click on visit site to visit your website, which you just created using WordPress.
